Your care through DrOnCall.com for telemedicine is USA based, with physicians licensed in all 50 states, and for behavioral health your care advocates have earned a Master’s or PhD degree in a mental health discipline, are independently licensed (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) and have specialized cultural competence training.

DrOnCall may be available to you through your insurance plan, employer, membership benefit program, or direct with us. If you need to subcribe to a plan, click here to do so now for unlimited visits each month with no visit fees or co-pay.

  • General Medical
    24/7 access to doctors, including pediatricians that can prescribe treatment for non-emergency conditions.
  • Primary Care & Preventative
    Providers are able to review the patient’s clinical information, discuss symptoms, diagnose, and prescribe medications as appropriate, for anything from common illnesses such as colds, flu, and sinus infections to chronic care management, behavioral health or nutrition. At the end of the consultation, the patient is encouraged to share a full record of the conversation with his or her primary care physician, maintaining continuity of care.
  • Behavioral Health
    Depending on your plan, you may also have access to unlimited, around the clock access to meet with a licensed mental health clinician.  

Note: Your services could vary due to your on benefit program, insurance plan or employer. Check your DigiDoc member documents to verify the type plan you have or located your welcome email received or ask your benefit program manager.

We never charge a consultation fee. There is never a co-pay amount for your physician consultation or session with a mental health clinician.

If you are a member, you can schedule unlimited visits during your membership as our goal is to keep you well, healthy and in peace.

DrOnCall.com consultants are currently available globally, and from the USA in all 50 states. 

Most benefit programs allow the use of the spouse of the primary member and any dependent children to utilize the telemedicine services at the same level of the member. Behavioral health services may be limited to the primary member, refer to your plan guidelines to verify. 

No, enough app icons on your phone already. Once your membership is activated you are able to call the numbers best for you to speak with a nurse to initiate a request for a consultation.

Prescription Services & Plans

Your DrOnCall.com physician will analyze, diagnose, and prescribe an effective treatment plan that may involve prescription or over-the-counter medication. Additionally, maintenance medications may be prescribed on a short term basis (no more than 30 days) for people traveling, transitioning to a new insurance plan, or just running short before a regular doctor visit.

Yes. Our physicians cannot prescribe DEA/Drug Enforcement Agency controlled substances, birth control, anti-depressants, or any long-term maintenance medication. References to certain resources or specialists, however, can be acquired via an informational consultation. Through our Pharmacy Benefit Management program many prescription drugs can be mailed to your home, office, hotel or Airbnb internationally.

Yes, the physician can renew a 30-day supply of many prescriptions up to twice per calendar year. There are certain medication refills are prohibited in our service, which include substances controlled by the DEA/Drug Enforcement Agency, experimental drugs, and medications for hair loss, erectile dysfunction, appetite suppression (including GLP-1 medications) and emergency contraceptives. If your consultation is primarily for a refill, please have the full details of the medication available when you speak to the provider. 

Yes, responsibly our physicians may prescribe an antibiotic as part of your treatment protocal.

Payments & Insurance

Information on how billing works

We keep it simple for you. No fees or payments required for consultations. Your membership has no limit on physician consultations.

If you are purchasing directly from us you can pay by credit or debit card, or Paypal all processed via Stripe. 

Your membership may be paid by your insurance plan, benefits program or employer so no additional payments would be required of you.

No. DrOnCall.com is a subscription based telemedicine program that is not associated with insurance claims or billing. Members or their benefit program manager pay a flat monthly subscription for unlimited doctor, specialist, and mental health clinician consultations.

In some cases, you can use your HSA or FSA to cover telemedicine expenses but some exclude membership based programs. Verify with your HSA/FSA provider for specific details.

  •  When a routine sinus infection, UTI or common condition reoccurs
  •  When the kids get an ear infection or other typical childhood ailment

No. You should not use DrOnCall if you are experiencing an emergency whether medical or mental health. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911 or your local equivalent.

Your access is to our medical network providers that are USA based, licensed physicians. After you speak with a nurse who will answer you call you will then be connected with a physician for your choice of a voice or video consultation. 

Your behavioral health care advocates are licensed, with either a Master’s or PhD.

Laboratory Testing & Exams

There may be times when a doctor feels that a lab test is needed. These are not an included service but can be purchased and scheduled at a savings of 20-80% through our partner Ulta Lab Tests, click here.

Mental Health

Your plan may include sessions with a therapist on demand 24/7 or per scheduling availability.

If your plan comes with behavioral health therapy sessions you can call to receive counseling sessions according to your benefit program. These sessions are with Master-degreed counselors and psychologists centered on helping you cope with day-to-day challenges in a productive, positive manner, and help you change problematic situations, undesirable attitudes, and behavior management strategies.

is ideal for shorter-term resolution than psychotherapy as detailed in Option B.

  1. No cost for therapy when included with your plan.
  2. You are paired with a therapist but can request a new one anytime.
  3. Counseling typically lasts for several weeks to a few months.
  4. No, prescription of antidepressants and medications for psychotherapy are not prescribed.
  5. Duration of session – typically 30 – 45 minutes.

You will have a conversation with the licensed mental health clinician just as if you were at their office. Our goal is to allow you to feel comfortable and heard. 

Yes, you may request the same therapist but it is subject to scheduling vs the first available clinician. You may opt to get a new therapist at any time.

Yes. If you have a membership with us either through your insurance plan, employer or benefit system you can get this benefit upgrade for $34.99 (retail price of US$149.99 annually) Contact us at support@droncall.com to request this upgrade.

Common questions

The amount of time allocated to a consultation or session varies depending on the treatment you seek:

  • Medical: No, there is not a time limit. However, most issues are resolved in an average of 15 minutes. We ask that you get all  your questions answered before ending your call or video, due to the  provider not being available right after the call ends due to other consultations. Once the consultation ends the physician is not able to provide answer to  questions or additional treatment requests.
  • Behavioral Health: On average, a mental health visit lasts 35-50 minutes, similar to an in-person therapy visit.

No. All sessions are initiated through a phone call where a nurse prepares your process for the consultation then connects you to the licensed physican or clinician. 

We want every aspect to be easy. Read more about our refund agreement with you, click here. Most of our members receive this as part of their insurance plan, employer paid program, or benefits system so a refund is not needed for you as there are no per visit, per consultation fees. Any purchase of upgrades such as McAfee Total Protection is non-refundable after purchase.

Account Information

We keep it simple. When you call us a registered nurse (RN) receives your call and at that point will identify who the primary member is on the account, and if you are the member, the partner/spouse or dependent you will then need to complete a brief medical history before requesting your first visit through DrOnCall.com. You will also be asked to update your medical history on occasion in order to keep your information current. 

We provide what we refer to as a DigiDoc via email and QR code that provides valuable links for using your membership. The information there is repeated on this site for ease of use. If you do not locate it you may contact your benefits administrator or  support@droncall.com to request it to be provided to you.
